A holiday graphic is not a seasonal plan. People who will spend in November and December are already searching. A snowflake on Friday does not catch them.
LocaliQ's 2026 holiday study found more than half of shoppers start as early as September through early November. Plan in August. Publish in September. December 15 is late.
Give yourself about ninety days
If June fishing or December ski weeks are the money, the pages and the listing have to exist about ninety days early. January copy is how June finds you. September copy is how holiday search finds you.
Update the listing and the site for the season you are actually in:
Hours, offers, what you sell this month
Photos that match the parking lot
One message for the Tuesday local job, and a different one for the Saturday visitor job
A shop that still looks like July in October is answering the wrong person.
Do not send seasonal clicks to the homepage
Paid search can cover a gap once the page exists. It cannot invent a landing place. Send seasonal clicks to one offer and one next step. Then rent the attention. The graphic can come after the plan.
