JTech’s Sporting Clays Club Websites: A Game-Changer for Clubs and Shooters Alike

By Chris Pontin - Last Updated on 09/18/2025
At JTech Communications, we’re thrilled to announce the launch of our Sporting Clays Club website packages, a tailored solution designed to revolutionize how clubs manage their online presence and engage with their communities. To dive deeper into this exciting new offering, I sat down with our President and Chief Architect, Josh Reynolds, to discuss the vision, features, and impact of these state-of-the-art websites. Below is the full scoop from our conversation, plus a glimpse into how these websites are set to transform the sporting clays industry.

A Vision to Elevate Sporting Clays

Sporting clays is more than just a sport—it’s a community, a passion, and a way to connect with others who love the thrill of the shot. Our journey into this world began with ScoreChaser, a platform we built in partnership with Casey Chase to streamline tournament management. That experience opened our eyes to the challenges sporting clays clubs face, particularly when it comes to their websites.

As Josh shared, “The vision behind the product offering is really to continue to improve the sporting clays industry. We built ScoreChaser for Casey, and thanks to Casey for partnering with us on this project. We’ve really loved getting so deeply involved with the sport from that perspective and continue to work with her on future versions of ScoreChaser.”

The goal? To create websites that don’t just look good but work smarter, helping clubs reduce operational headaches, boost engagement, and grow their membership—all while providing a seamless experience for shooters.

Tackling the Challenges Clubs Face

Many sporting clays clubs are stuck with outdated websites or clunky, generic platforms that require endless maintenance. These systems often demand more time than they save, leaving club managers and volunteers stretched thin.

Josh put it plainly: “Our research showed that many clubs are on old, canned systems that are laborious to maintain. While these sites are important, they often require more staff or volunteer time than they save.”

One of the biggest pain points is membership management. From processing renewals to onboarding new members, these tasks are often manual and time-consuming. Our Sporting Clays Club websites tackle this head-on with a membership management bundle that includes automatic renewals, secure credit card payments, and an online sign-up process.

As Josh explained, “Members can put a credit card on file, receive notifications, pay, and new members can join and pay directly online. This dramatically reduces labor for the club.”

A Custom-Built Solution for Sporting Clays

What sets JTech’s websites apart is our proprietary content management system, My JTech. Unlike generic platforms like WordPress, My JTech is purpose-built for sporting clays clubs, making it intuitive and stress-free to use.

"Adding content is incredibly intuitive: to add an event, you just click, input the data, drag and drop photos, hit save, and the website and calendar are updated automatically,” Josh noted.

No plugins to wrestle with, no system updates to break your site—just a clean, reliable experience.

These websites are also optimized for search engines, accessibility, and usability, ensuring clubs can attract new members and keep current ones engaged. Whether it’s updating events, sharing news, or showcasing photos, My JTech makes it easy for clubs to keep their online presence fresh and vibrant.

ScoreChaser Integration: A Win for Engagement

One of the standout features of our Sporting Clays Club websites is their seamless integration with ScoreChaser. This connection transforms how clubs share tournament information and engage their audience.

“If a club builds out their tournaments in ScoreChaser, their upcoming tournaments automatically show on the website, featured on the home page, and listed in the calendar,” Josh explained. “Users can click anywhere to see full tournament details, and registration is integrated directly on the club’s site.”

This integration keeps visitors on the club’s website, boosting engagement and improving Google rankings due to increased traffic. But it’s not just about logistics—our websites also foster community through features like club leaderboards and past tournament score postings.

Josh highlighted the impact: “A leaderboard encourages participation in tournaments and helps members see who else is competing, even locally. It almost facilitates camaraderie and community within the club.”

Nothing says sporting clays like a little friendly competition, and these features make it easy for clubs to spark excitement and build connections among members.

Looking Ahead: Modernizing the Industry

The launch of these websites is just the beginning. JTech is committed to driving the sporting clays industry forward with tools that make clubs more accessible, efficient, and engaging.

As Josh shared, “ScoreChaser is driving the industry forward, and we can support clubs by increasing engagement, accessibility, and ease of management. For example, automated renewals prevent lapses and ensure clubs receive membership revenue reliably.”

Looking to the future, JTech is already dreaming big. Plans include a robust member portal, deeper ScoreChaser integration, and additional features to streamline club operations. “The goal is to modernize sporting clays clubs’ websites while reducing repetitive, laborious processes,” Josh said.

A Partnership with the Sporting Clays Community

Our work with Gallatin Sporting Clays, a valued client, has been a cornerstone of this journey. Their website and membership platform, built by JTech, served as a testing ground for many of the features now available in our Sporting Clays Club packages. As we gear up for their upcoming tournament, we’re excited to see these tools in action, helping clubs and shooters connect in new ways.

To the sporting clays community: we’re here to make your clubs shine online, save you time, and bring your members closer together. Want to learn more?
