The Western Challenge Ends—But the Score Chaser Club Package Has Just Begun

By Chris Pontin - Last Updated on 08/26/2025
The dust has settled, the final clays have been shattered, and the echoes of laughter and shotgun blasts still linger over the 330-acre paradise of Gallatin Sporting Clays. The Western Challenge, held from August 21–24, 2025, wasn’t just a tournament—it marked the official rollout of JTech’s new Sporting clays club website packages with deep score chaser integration, designed to give sporting clays clubs a seamless, centralized, and fully managed digital scoring experience.

As the event’s proud sponsor and technology partner, we powered everything behind the scenes and introduced clubs to an exclusive promotional offer available only at the Western Challenge. Our own Clarence Mascari was on-site, meeting with club owners and shooters to demonstrate how Score Chaser can transform match management, simplify operations, and elevate the competitor experience.

Here’s a look back at the highlights of an unforgettable weekend—and how this launch is shaping the future of sporting clays.

A Four-Day Fiesta of Skill and Spirit

From the moment the welcome barbecue kicked off on Thursday evening, the Western Challenge set the stage for something special. Shooters from across the region gathered at Gallatin Sporting Clays, just 30 minutes from Bozeman, to reconnect, swap stories, and gear up for a weekend packed with action. The club’s three sporting clays courses, three five-stands, and dedicated FITASC layout were in top form, offering 900 targets that challenged every shooter’s precision and strategy.

Friday through Sunday brought the heart of the competition, with participants ranging from first-timers to seasoned pros. The Montana sun lit up the rolling hills, creating a perfect setting for a tournament that felt as much like a community gathering as a high-stakes shoot. Between rounds, the air was filled with the sizzle of food trucks, the hum of conversations about “that one impossible shot,” and the cheers of spectators rooting for their favorites.

Moments That Stole the Show

The competition was electric, with shooters bringing their A-game to the courses. Curious about who took home the top honors? Check out the full tournament results on Score Chaser! What truly defined the weekend, though, was the shared passion for the sport. A young shooter nailing their first double brought roars from the crowd, while veterans traded tips with newcomers, fostering a sense of camaraderie that’s rare to find. The courses pushed everyone to their limits, but the real victory was in the connections forged and the stories that’ll be retold for years.
