Western Challenge Recap: Results from Gallatin Sporting Clays
Weekend Results

JTech was proud to be on-site again this year. We built Gallatin’s website, and weekends like this are when we get to see work meet the real thing: members checking schedules, visitors finding their way, and a club that runs on fantastic volunteers and coordination.
In the Main Event by Federal, Mike Wilgus took High Overall with a 186 (Madison 87, Jefferson 99), just ahead of Tyler Taylor at 184. In the separate FITASC by Remington event, Zachary Kienbaum led the field with a 99, with Tyler Taylor again right behind at 97. Full class results and payouts are live on Score Chaser.
On the trails with the shooters
It's always a privilege to attend a sporting clays event in person. We watched shooters break targets, work through the course with their dogs, and make room for the people around them. Familiar faces found each other, new conversations started easily, and the whole place felt like a club community that knows how to welcome people in.
“What stood out to me most was the atmosphere. Everyone was there to have a good time, compete, and enjoy the experience, which made it easy to strike up conversations, learn more about what others do, and share a little about JTech and how we help businesses with their websites, marketing, and technology.”
– Clarence, Sales and Support Representative
What it means to be there
Being present also means listening. That is why we value showing up in person. We get to spend time with the people who keep this sport moving in Montana, and we get to understand the clubs and businesses we serve.
“As a sponsor, I had the chance to connect with business owners, professionals, and other community members while being part of an event that brought everyone together around the outdoors and a little friendly competition.” – Clarence

Big smiles from the Western Challenge
So when we build websites for sporting clays and shooting clubs, we build for more than just that weekend. Our job in sporting clays is to design efficient everyday workflows to make club operations easier, taking the admin off club staff’s plates so they can stay with their people.
If your club is thinking about a new website, exploring new technology, membership renewals, or Score Chaser integration, learn more here or grab time with Clarence. We would be glad to hear what your club is working on.
New Friends, Big Smiles, Dust in the Air
Blair spent the morning on the trails photographing athletes and scenery, and making more than a few furry friends. One stretch of the day turned into a search party for an athlete’s missing ears… which, of course, eventually turned up in the collar of his shirt. Blair Ringer
“Everyone on the course was incredibly friendly and welcoming… As for the action, it was fascinating to watch the athletes point, shoot, and demolish the clays in a way that seemed effortless. They were all so casual about it—not quite enough celebrating for my taste, personally.” — Blair Ringer, Marketing Associate
Clearly, shooters brought their A-game for the Western Challenge, keeping a level head and focusing on their pre-shot routine.
“Throughout the day, I found myself thinking of how much my dad would love this sport, and how much convincing it might take him to come out and give it a shot sometime. Overall, it rocked. Bang bang!“

What’s next
Thank you to every shooter who shared a conversation, a cart ride, a story, or a moment of your day with us. You made the Western Challenge a pleasure to attend, and we are already looking forward to seeing more of this community at upcoming shoots.
Until then, keep breaking targets, keep welcoming new faces, and maybe celebrate a little louder next time. Bang bang.
