The 2026 Western Challenge

The Western Challenge at Gallatin Sporting Clays

The Western Challenge at Gallatin Sporting Clays is one of Montana’s most highly-anticipated sporting clays events in 2026. With Rick Hemmingway taking charge of target setting duties on Gallatin Sporting Clays’ unique country, shooters can expect engaging stations for every class. We couldn't be more excited for a weekend full of targets soaring across the stunning views under the big sky. JTech is proudly attending The Western Challenge to support our local sporting clays club and to spread the word of our product, websites for sporting clays clubs.

About Gallatin Sporting Clays

Gallatin Sporting Clays (GSC) is a 300 acre playground for shotgun shooters featuring three sporting clays courses, three five-stands, and a dedicated FITASC Layout. A non-profit, volunteer-run club, GSC is an accessible entry-point for new shooters with plenty of challenges for experienced shooters. During the Western Challenge, you may see target presentations unlike anything you've shot all year.

Steeped in the regions history and geography, GSC’s sporting clays courses are named after three of the region’s most iconic rivers: The Gallatin, The Madison, and The Jefferson. These rivers converge around Three Forks, MT to form The Missouri River, which stretches over 2,300 miles before joining The Mississippi near St. Louis, MO.

GSC’s unique country and experienced target setters makes for a course experience unlike any other as targets fly beneath your feet, soar above your head, and rabbits cascade across the country. A true test of of your skills, each course as unique as its namesake's river. Montana’s terrain results in presentations you simply cannot replicate on anywhere else, and definitely not with the same views under the big sky.

JTech and Gallatin Sporting Clays

JTech built GSC’s website in 2025, before JTech started creating website packages specifically designed for sporting clays clubs. When GSC approached us, they needed a website that highlighted their unique offerings, provided clear information for both members and non-members, and streamlined the membership process to engage their growing community of shooters.

We knew that GSC needed a membership hub; an unparalleled tool for sharing member-specific news and updates and creating a central community for your club members.

For logged-in users, the Log In page connects to a Member Home dashboard providing course-specific news, club announcements, and editable profile, membership, and billing details—complete with tools for updating contacts, adjusting payments, and even canceling accounts. Backend features support transaction tracking and plan configuration for efficient administration. Read more about Gallatin Sporting Clays' website development.

Time-Saving Value: Membership Renewals

Gallatin Sporting Clays’ membership page has another function, of which has created the most anticipation from other clubs we've spoken with. JTech's membership system automatically coordinates membership renewals. No more tracking down ‘ol Joe once his membership lapses or having shooters mail in a check or physically drive to the local store or shooting grounds.

Members can opt-in to automatic renewals, saving time and energy for both members and staff. For shooters who choose not to opt-in to automatic renewals, JTech's system will send reminder emails before their membership lapses, potentially saving your club's admin from writing hundreds of emails each year while giving members the peace of mind that their home club will reach out before any changes to their membership status occur.

New Technology

Similar to Gallatin Sporting Clays, many clubs have a goal to build a strong community, which led us to come up with a new product feature, Club Leaderboards.

Club leaderboards with Score Chaser integration enable great opportunities for community building. With a club leaderboard, your club can host your member’s Score Chaser data on your club website, letting your members see where they stack up and and what each other have been up to.

  • Want to see how Bob did down in Texas last week? Go look at your club leaderboard.
  • Want to see how many punches away that rookie is from moving into your class? Go see what he shot last weekend.

What does this mean for the industry?

The bar is higher. Many shooters, instructors, and clubs are already exploring technological innovations that have changed the game for sporting clays such as Score Chaser, and ShotKam. So why should your website stay old and fail to meet changing shooter expectations?

JTech is proud to support our local sporting clays club at The Western Challenge, and we'll have a grand ol time doing it.
