From ScoreChaser to The Dead Pair: Building What's Next for Sporting Clays
On a recent episode of The Dead Pair Podcast, host Jason Rambo welcomed JTech's Joshua Reynolds to talk about an exciting new partnership. While the conversation focused on The Dead Pair's upcoming website, it also offered a behind-the-scenes look at how a relationship that began with ScoreChaser has grown into something much bigger.
For many people in the sporting clays community, JTech is already a familiar name. We partnered with Casey Chase to build Score Chaser, and through that experience we've had the opportunity to learn the sport from the inside out. What started as a software project quickly became a genuine appreciation for the clubs, volunteers, coaches, and organizations that keep this community thriving.
A Website Emergency That Became an Opportunity

The temporary site solved an immediate problem, but it was always intended to be just that, temporary. The long-term goal is to build a website that gives The Dead Pair community a better experience while creating room for future features and deeper integration with.
Why Sporting Clays?

Many clubs are still managing memberships manually, maintaining outdated websites, and duplicating information across multiple systems. Those challenges don't exist because people aren't working hard. They exist because the technology hasn't kept pace with the sport.
As Josh explained during the interview, the vision goes beyond building websites. It's about creating tools that simplify memberships, integrate tournament information, improve communication, and give clubs more time to focus on their members instead of administrative work.
Representing Clubs the Way They Deserve
Jason also shared a story about visiting an outstanding sporting clays club whose website simply didn't reflect the quality of the facility. Finding basic information was difficult, even though the club itself offered an excellent experience once he arrived. It's a situation many clubs can probably relate to.
A website is often someone's first impression of your organization. Whether it's a new shooter looking for a place to get started or someone traveling across the country for a tournament, your online presence should make it easy to find information and encourage people to visit.

Looking Ahead

The Dead Pair website is just one example of where this partnership is headed, but it reflects something we've believed for a long time. Great organizations deserve technology that works as hard as they do.
We're excited to continue building for the sporting clays community, whether that's through Score Chaser, club websites, custom web applications, or projects like The Dead Pair. Every new partnership helps strengthen a sport we've genuinely enjoyed becoming a part of, and we're looking forward to what's next.
