Encouraging Growth: JTech Sponsors The Dead Pair Podcast

By Max Wolsborn - Last Updated on 06/12/2026

About The Dead Pair Podcast

JTech Communications is proud to announce that we are sponsors of The Dead Pair Podcast.

The Dead Pair Podcast isn’t two ghosts yapping on a microphone about their life in the underworld. The name “dead pair” comes from sporting clays terminology. A “pair” in sporting clays is a target presentation in which two clays are released sequentially or simultaneously at a station. A “dead pair” is a spin on successfully breaking both clays in the target presentation. For our non-shooters, sporting clays is often described as ‘golf with a shotgun,’ where each station is analogous to a hole in golf, and hits and misses determine your score.

The Dead Pair Podcast has a unique mix of keeping it real, shenanigans, truly expert insight, and unquestionable passion for the sport that makes them so beloved in the sporting clays world. True personality, honest insights, and being an outspoken advocate for growth is just hard to beat.

A typical Dead Pair Podcast episode may cover any of the following:
  • Interviews with top shooters, world-class coaches, and industry leaders
  • Gear discussions and equipment insights
  • Major tournament previews and recaps
  • Skill-building techniques and mental game strategies
  • Course design, club operations, and the broader history of clay shooting (trap, skeet, and sporting clays)
  • Honest conversations and chopping it up with guests

Why JTech is Proud to Sponsor The Dead Pair Podcast

One of the reasons that JTech decided to sponsor the podcast is The Dead Pair’s genuine passion for growing the sport of sporting clays.

The Dead Pair is an outspoken advocate for:

  • The +ONE Movement (NSSF), which encourages shooters to simply bring one new person with them each time they go shooting. The hosts even keep each other accountable on the show for how many shooters they are bringing with them when they go shoot.
  • The Midway Foundation, which supports youth programs and the future of the sport. Jason recently attended their charity shoot at Rice Creek Hunting in Little Falls Minnesota and could not stop raving about the experience:

“You still get to go shoot your shotgun and have a great time and blow some targets up, but at the same time you’re doing something for a really great cause. I highly encourage everybody to check it out.” Jason on episode 258.

This authentic passion for growth, combined with their mix of expert insight, personality, and fun, made them the perfect partner for JTech.

JTech’s Commitment to Sporting Clays

JTech has long been involved in the sporting clays community through our close partnership with Casey Chase and Score Chaser. We have spent years developing and refining tournament management software designed specifically for the unique needs of sporting clays clubs.
