ABOUT THE JOB
Begin your UI/UX Graphic Design career while still in school! JTech Communications is excited to offer an undergraduate student the opportunity to launch themselves into their career through a paid UI/UX Graphic Design program.
As our graphic design intern, you will be involved in helping to design websites, branding and marketing materials for various JTech client and will play an integral role within our team to produce artwork and assets used in the construction of our projects.
You will also gain invaluable experience by supporting our client’s lead generation, online presence, and search position. At the conclusion of your internship, you will have an improved understanding of commercial website development design methods, and an ability to produce assets necessary for the creation of websites and web apps. The ideal candidate will have great communication skills, a willingness to learn, the ability to work independently, and a strong desire to grow.

To that end, we have successfully served entrepreneurs, small businesses, and large corporations in Bozeman, Montana and across the Rocky Mountains for the past 27 years. We are located in beautiful downtown Bozeman, just 2 blocks from Main Street on South Wallace Avenue and walking distance to Peets Hill and The Gallagator Trail.
CONSIDERATIONS
- Basic computer skills - specifically in MacOS and Apple desktop applications
- Basic knowledge of design software such as Sketch, Figma, the Affinity Suite, and the Adobe Suite
- Ability to receive and implement direction and course correction
- Ability to work independently
- Basic knowledge of how visual assets are stored and saved for use on the web
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program at Montana State University’s College of Arts & Architecture*
*Graphic Design Option preferred
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Web page layouts and composition
- Navigation system design
- Establishing CSS colors
- Processing assets for quality and size
- An invitation to attend one client design meeting
- Effectively communicating and collaborating with the JTech team
COMPENSATION
- Approximately 10 to 15 hours/week
- $15.00/hour
